What is the Open Palm Project?

The Open Palm Project is a space for men to tell the truth about their inner lives, with masturbation, connection, and bonding at the center. It focuses on how individual men move from private, often hidden experiences of self-pleasure into a deeper understanding of themselves and their relationships with other men, regardless of orientation. Each story follows one person’s journey, how they first learned to relate to their own desire, what solo pleasure looks and feels like for them, how it has (or hasn’t) become social, and what that has meant for their sense of identity, intimacy, and belonging. The aim is not to be pornographic, but to be honest, treating masturbation as a lens on connection, vulnerability, shame, comfort, and resilience. This reflective, non-judgmental archive of men’s stories prioritizes curiosity, respect, and depth above all else.

What You Can Expect

Your story will be presented on Bateworld.com as well as here on the Sanctuary Domain website, as a thoughtfully written Q&A-style interview, allowing your authentic voice to shine through while preserving your privacy through an alias and other anonymized details. We believe in your complete autonomy throughout this process, so you are empowered to skip any questions that feel too personal or uncomfortable, ensuring you only share what feels right. Before your narrative reaches our community, you will have the opportunity to review and approve the final text, giving you ultimate control over how your story is shared with the world. The journey begins with a simple interest form where you can express your initial thoughts without obligation, followed by a more detailed interview if you choose to proceed.

What’s Next?

The Open Palm Project is currently seeking contributors who are willing to share their authentic stories about the intersection of self-pleasure, connection, and masculine identity. By completing the initial interest form, you’re taking the first step toward joining this growing collection of honest narratives that challenge conventional conversations around male sexuality and bonding. Selected participants will receive a follow-up message with more details and an option to complete a longer interview form, with no pressure to continue if it doesn’t feel right. As the project evolves, we envision creating a rich tapestry of experiences that reflect the diverse ways men navigate desire, intimacy, and connection in their lives—stories that will resonate, educate, and perhaps even transform how we think about these fundamental aspects of human experience.
